Brush, Debris, Leaf Collection and Pick up of Household Items is a service for City of Chatsworth Residents only

The City of Chatsworth provides brush, debris and leaf collection on Mondays only starting November 20, 2023.  The household items pick up service is limited to normal household amounts and will continue with no adjustments.  Bush, debris and leaf collection pickup is a service weather permitting only on Mondays starting November 20, 2023. Please call Sanitation/Street Department at (706) 422.2100 or (706) 422.2101 for details or to be placed on the schedule for pickup. If you have brush and debris please keep these items separated. On your scheduled pickup day have your items to be collected out by 7:00 a.m. If your pickup day falls on a holiday, the city will not pick up until your next regular scheduled pickup day.

**No brush, limbs, stumps or parts or trees will be picked up unless each piece can be loaded by hand. The Street Department WILL NOT cut trees or brush to be loaded.**

** The Street Department will not be responsible picking up debris left from clearing, grading of a lot, a partial lot.  They are also not responsible picking up debris left from building construction or any type of contractors remnants.**

Beginning Monday, November 20, 2023, The City's Sanitation Department will switch to once a week curb side pick-up.  Monday will be the only pick day for bulky garbage collection (trash that will not fit in trash cart/container) to be picked up for City Residents only.

The trash cart/container routes will remain the same.  This is only trash that will not fit in City Residents trash cart/container.

The City of Chatsworth Sanitation Department will adjust the frequency in residential curb side pickup of bulky trash/waste items, due to city growth.  The change will free up the department to tackle other projects and be utilized throughout the City to accomplish other goals including maintenance of streets, ditches/ culverts and performing other street work, maintaining sidewalks and street signage.

Bulky waste is defined as items too large to fit inside your trash carts/containers.  Such as furniture, mattresses, some buildings materials, limbs (Please note the City cannot pick up anything over 8" in diameter) yard debris and other big waste items.

The City's Sanitation Department does not pick up Commercial trash.  This only applies to City Residents.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our streets and sidewalks safe for our citizens.
